I have found lots of lists of what it good to feed Tortoises, but have not come across a list containing outdoor plants to keep them away from. My back yard has grass, dandelions, clover, wild carrot (aka Queen Anne's Lace) and a wild violet that smells of mint. Will it be safe for me to let my Tortoise graze back there? Will she know what is ok and what is bad? I plan to buy the Tortoise seed mix if I can find the site again, and plant that back there. I am mostly concerned about the minty violet plant because there is a lot of it back there. I wish I knew what it was called. It has roundish leaves and small purple flowers, the mint smell is strong if you mow it or crumble it in your fingers. I live in the Buffalo NY area. I use no fertilizer, pesticide, or weed killer.
