Your local herp pet store is a retail outlet, meaning they have to make their money on your pet. You're probably gonna get less than HALF of what it's worth, and that's if the owner is feeling generous.
My suggestion: look into WHY you're selling this chameleon, how much care you've put into it, and whether you're willing to risk this chameleon being sold to someone who is less than qualified to care for it. If you HAVE to sell it, I would suggest checking with your local Herp Society, or even running an ad in your local paper. That way you can screen the potential new owner and have more control on this special guy's future.
Good luck!

...As Victor points out there is a very good chance that the new owner (who purchase from the pet store) will not be well-versed in cham care. If you offer him here (have folks email you privately) or someone who knows someone at least there is a much better chance that he will go to a good home - and you can sell him for what he is worth rather than to a retailer who needs to make a profit. Where do you live?

just curious...why are you selling him?

couldn't agree more...he's a nice looking jax..it's obvious you've taken good care of him...don't sell him to a pet store where, odds are, he'll end up in fish tank eating mealworms all day...i'm sure you've invested many hours standing there with a spray bottle in your hand waiting for him to start drinking as i do with mine...you'll be lucky to get 30 bucks from a petstore..i'm sure someone here will gladly give you more
