Good size for a baby water dragon

kyle1414 Jun 10, 2004 10:16 AM

After i get back from camp (around mid july) I will start working on a large cage for a lizard. I don't like buying lizards from stores and my dad wont let me from online. We are having a reptile show in town on sat and i was wondering if I could keep my baby WD in a 20 gallon tall until w finish his big cage (around early august). Would he get too big by the time the cage is done?

I always started my babies in a 55 gallon tank. The problem with a 20 gallon tall tank is it has very little floor area, and baby dragons do a lot of running around. They also nose rub if the tank is too small, and you would be amazed at how fast a baby dragon can grow.

put something soft (not mesh) on the inside surface of the glass to prevent nose rub from happening, or at least on the bottom half of the glass. They will do it, and its not good.
