Double het Patternless / Albino what would the ratio for a PA actually be?

ragnew Jun 18, 2003 11:34 PM

Hi,

Just wondering what the Patternless Albino ratio would be when you breed two double hets (albino X patternless) together? Are they as hard to get as the blazings? Or do they seem to be somewhat easier to produce? Thanks in advance.

What albino strain are they from?

I believe it'll be a tremper. When I purchased her, I was told she was a "Chocolate Albino" that was produced from tremper albinos. The albino has very dark markings, an orange so dark it looks almost brown. Hope this helps. I've also got some proven Tremper albinos that'll be getting paired with the Patternless male as well.

Well the chance is relatively slim, maybe 1 in 2000? Who knows? We don't really even know if they (Tremper PA's) truly exist, but the hobby should find out for sure by the start of the next breeding season.
Thanks

1 in 16 for PA's
3 in 16 for Patternless
3 in 16 for Albino

Sorry to say, but for Tremper PA's it just does not work out that way.

statistically, you have a 6.25% chance of producing a PA from that pairing.
