I ended up with 4 good looking eggs from these guys a few weeks ago. Hopefully they all hatch out and i can get you a pair this year.

Great looking snake! Looks very similar to my male. Congrats on the clutch too! I'm hoping to breed my pair next year. What temperature and for approximately how long do you brumate yours at?

brumate mine towards the bottom of the racks in the room to keep them cooler then the others by a degree or two. The room is kept between 50-55 depending on how cold out it gets that night/day. I also hibernated them for just over 3 months this year. Good luck with yours, and post some pics if you get a chance, i always like seeing situla!

I've always posted that the situlas were my favorite Old World rat snakes. Mandarins probably would win out with most people, but I just like the situlas. I also post that I've never acquired any for some reason. I'll keep my fingers crossed this may be the season. I also post that the Great Plains rat snakes is my favorite North American rat snake and I happened to pick some up last season. Thanks for posting pics of your situlas Gregg and the update on the eggs. Now I have to patiently wait like you. LOL.
