I am interested in getting a pair of Children's pythons or the jungle carpet python does anyone have negative information on them. I have a pair of balls and actually 3 baby balls and one red tail boa.

I own both and love them both. They both eat well. They both are relatively easy to breed if that interests you. They are different sizes. My childrens are about 21/2 feet. Jungles top out at about 7 feet. If space is no problem go with what you like best.

I love my Jungle Carpet. She is a great pet and eats well on f/t rats. She is 5 foot now. Hoping she'll top out at 6-8. :0) Only negative I've heard of the jungle's is they are very nippy babies till they are yearlings (with regular handling) and some will not eat rats. So if you have a 7-8 foot snake that eats only mice it can get expensive to feed. Some don't tolerate handling but most do. Mine is great with handling. I bought her from a reptile/fish store. The former owner was a school teacher so she was handled alot.
Children's Pythons are small so plan on if you want a small or large snake. I first housed my JCP in a 20 gallon tank, then a 40 now she is in an 80 gallon tank. They are a great display snake since they like to climb around alot. I don't know anything else about the Childrens.
