Found a gorgeous 18" male, light gray with narrow black cross bands. Not a single red scale. The snake was crossing 277 between Carruthers and Red bluff in an area where there were no cuts at 9:15pm. (temp 78) The interesting thing was......he was within 10 feet of a DOR 34" female blairs. She was obviously DOR since the previous night.

we saw a juv lep the other night, thought it was an alterna. Needed a beer after that one! We have a pair of blacktails you can have after we get our shots of them. You'll have to catch us Sat. night as we are going home Sun.

Leps were moving pretty good mid may on Juno in the cuts north of the crossing... Saw several in just a few nights.

Was I right or what... Coach is the King of 277. Granted it is not 16 or 20 like some other folks, but a respectable 3.

I wish I could hang out before you leave but I will be somewhere as of next thursday.

We were toying with maybe....california, arizona next year but......naaaaaaaa, we'll be back here again! Don't get your hopes to high on the football season. Hey we got Vinny T now so something may change. We have 5 quarterbacks. One has to be at least average. We also may be getting rid of antonio bryant (which is fine with me).
Keep up the good work. I will be out next week (Thursday) but I don't know where yet. I will try to call you guys in a few days. Don't want to use up all your cell minutes.
