Landscaping Casualty

My dad was digging around a stump and smooshed a eastern worm snakes head today. It was a large one, about 12-14 inches. I just feel bad about it so I posted here. It looked to have a broken jaw so I cleaned it, got him some heat and water but he just spasmed a little and passed on Ohwell, thats life I guess.
