Help with eggs

TNTBODYWORKS Jun 10, 2004 04:39 PM

We have 2 eggs that are 51 days old. They have looked healthy and firm all along. Candling all along has been pink inside. Now both eggs have a dent on one side and are a little softer. When we candle them, all we can see is a greenish glow to them. Should we use mositure to bring the dent out when they are this far along? We're not sure what to do since we can't see anything in them except that greenish glow. This is our 3rd clutch and we have yet to produce a baby. We are using the Hova-Bator and the albey method. I would appreciate any help anyone could give us.

Thaks,
Janet

I would assume from the description that they are infertile, especially with this length of time. I too have a female that keeps throwing infertile eggs this year too. We'll have to see what she does next year. Anyway, add a little water and see if they pop back up in a day or two, otherwise I'd say they're probably infertile. I know the fertile ones I had you could see the gecko (or at least something dark) in the eggs when candling. Good luck!

I had 2 fertile eggs colapse in the last week of incubation(the deli cup had 2 many holes and it got dry at 89 degrees). I added water and the popped back out and hatched a week later.
It is worth a try.
I don't know about the green color though.
