Kunasir eggs at last!

Conrad Jun 10, 2004 05:15 PM

Well, she finally dropped her clutch last night, 10 total, looks like probably only 7 are good though, still 10 was pretty good. She layed 13 last year. I'll get some pictures of the momma and her eggs up here this weekend for you all. All that leaves me waiting on this year is my Miami corn and a locality WC corn to lay.

Nice going Conrad. 10 is still a big climac clutch. Good luck.

Well, if anyone out there knows, I'd been after this pair for a couple of years before I actually attained them. 10 is great, but on second expection looks as though only about 7 are good, which I'm more than happy with anyway. I'm getting some more pictures of both the parents set up to post tomorrow...keep your eyes open. And thanks, it's been a long time coming for me with these...now if I can just pair up my female Russian, and get my G. oxcephala figured out for next season....well...I like a challenge...

It's nice to get eggs from something that took some time and effort to get the parental stock you wanted. That makes for some nice babies you'll be producing. So you need to pair up your female Russian? Nice to see someone working on getting some captive baby G. oxcephala. That will be great news to hear.
