Hypo Patternless Honduran Milk for 60,000 bucks ! more...

Keith Hillson Jun 10, 2004 05:20 PM

Is it me or is that an incredibly high price for a colubrid regardless of the mutation ??? Especially when you take into consideration that Hypo Hondurans have really come down in price and that alot of those reduced pattern animals are popping up here and there. Yes it is beautiful and it probably is one of a kind but 60K seems rather excessive. What do you guys think ? Now if it was a 2 headed patternless Hypo Honduran proven to produce other 2 headed Hypos maybe 60k...lol.

If you breed it to it siblings and it proves to be genetic you could double clutch it and get about 24eggs and babies were gonna be sold for $3000 ea; $3000x 24 = $72,000, Born without a pattern also and the only Truely Patternless Hypo honduran. So if you think of all that it is of high value.

That hondo is stunning! I was sure it was a typo and they realy meant 6K! But 60K, come on here, Cody mentioned it being "truely patternless", in my book, a paternless would not have any pattern (this one has pattern near the tail) and would also not have the facial mask!

Cody, is Guy aware you posted this price?

Nice hypo hondo regardless!

CodyK Jun 10, 2004 08:49 PM

Yes guy is aware i posted this price hes the one who made that the price. Yes it does have a little stripe on its tail and on its neck but its the most patternless one i have ever seen.

60K for a snake that may be just an anomoly is pretty risky. You would be better off going to Vegas with the 60K and playing Black Jack. Also you thinking is flawed when you broke down the potential earnings. From the group thats for sale you wont get all patternless Hypo's. Maybe if you had 1.1 Patternelss Hypos but thats not the case. Good luck.

I could think I have the damn MONA LISA in mothballs in my attic, that the one in France is a damn fake, lol. Question is,WHO would be willing to take your word on it over that of the market?Any unproven genetic abberation is JUST THAT until breeding trials prove it otherwise.Anyone beating the tired horse of hondos(too easy to refer to them as the new cornsnake)realizes that a wave has crested and the waning market behind it has a slippery slope. Most double morphs have been realized, and "fresh"or "new"blood(read $$)is not overwhelming the market that is already there for morphs.I know I will certainly raise the ire of others(a pointed response, lol)for this but come on.....trying to manipulate the market like this is precocious at best and narcisistic at worst. If there are 25 of these around I suggest that they all would not look like THAT one(nice snake by the way!).My frame of reference relies on the paycheck theory.....NEVER spend more than 1 paycheck on a animal and you will be able to sleep at nite.By the way,I have a cornsnake that is purple and yellow with green spots for $100,000.Turn in your empty beer cans guys,J

It is worth that if you can get someone to pay it. But I wouldn't be paying people millons to play basketball either.

Hi,
I've seen that snake at shows. It has a little pattern by the tail, and I bet its not genetic, just one of the nicest vanishing pattern hypos out there-(there have been others really nice too). There was one on the milksnake gallery of the kingsnake photogallery, and a ghost patternless too, probally 2 of the nicest hondos out there. Thats my thought, 60k, crazy homie,

Where can I see a pic of this snake? I'd like to know more about it. As mentioned Vanishing Pattern and Reduced Patterns are becoming more common. Imagine someone pays that price and by the end of summer more pop up? Ouch. I would say even 6 grand is a LOT of cash for a colubrid, or most any snake for that matter. Tom

Where is the picture of this snake? The website is cool, but, I don't know where this snake in particular is located?

Their are nutty people out their in the world who might just pay it. But if my memory serves me correctly? Dosent shannon or jeff have some comprable vanishing patterns for alot less money?
It just seems out of all the pictures i've seen in this milksnake form, some of the snakes could rival that one.
Thats just my two cents:
