A few questions on Leopard Geckos

mefingas Jun 10, 2004 05:48 PM

I have a few questions about leopard geckos. The first one is what kind of heat bulb should I use and do I leave it on overnight? Second one is about calcium and vitamin powders and whether or not they need them and if so how often. Also what is the best way to sterilize wood decor and how often it should be done. And lastly, i'm pretty sure leopards don't need vegetables in their diet but i just wanted to check.

you should use a 75 or 100 watt bulb depending on the temp where you live. usually 75 works best. you can use a daylight bulb if your leo doesnt have any sunlight coming in, but of course not at night. using a regular heat bulb at night depends on the temperature at night. remember its ok for the temp to drop a little at night.

no they dont eat vegitables

you can get the Leopard Gecko Dust by t-rex and just use that for every feeding, and always keep a small dish of pure calcium powder in there too. Bone Aid is what i use.

i dunno about the wood thing, sorry

I had a moldy wood decor and i put it in the oven on 250 for like an hour and checked on it every 10 minutes jus to make sure it didnt start a fire.
