Anyone know where I could find a supplier of plastics:high density polyethylene, polypropylene, expanded pvc, etc.
Any help greatly appreciated!

From my experience local suppliers are almost always cheaper. Factor in the cost of shipping and local is an even better deal.

But if you live too far away from a major city and/or can't haul 4x8 sheets then look at US Plastics, Outwater Plastics, and Tap Plastics. URL's are easily found through google.com.

But be prepared to pay a lot.

I agree completely with Chris, local is always best. If you are looking for it locally sign shops are usually a fairly easy way to find it locally, and most of them can point you to a local supplier that carries it in bulk. Good luck.

I agree with chris & randy on this but also keep in mind that ( atleast here ) local sign shops are asking $175-$200 for the same thing you can get fro ma supplier due to they are going to mark it up75-100% for there handling of it .Where are you located at ? if you give me your state i might can help you out .

My experience with sign shops is that they do end up being a bit more expensive than ordering online w/shipping.

However, once I have told them I'd need 4 or 5 sheets a few of them told me where to drive to get a better deal.

But the sign shops were also very helpful when it came to getting scrap material to practice on. Something I highly recommend when it comes to plastic.
