Feeding difficulty update

robi Jun 10, 2004 08:21 PM

I just wanted to say thanks to those who gave their advice.
Unfortunately, Little bit passed this afternoon. I checked the board as soon as I returned home from work. I was getting ready to run up to the pet store for a live pinkie. She seemed a little more lethargic when I first checked her when I got home but when I pulled her out she moved around and seemed a tiny bit better. I checked her again as I was walking out the door and she had just passed. I'm sure she's better off, I hated that she was suffering and I was unable to help her enough.
I just wanted to say thanks again for your advice. I'm really glad I found this website!

Sorry for your loss, it always sucks when you lose a pet. I dont know if this was your first snake or not but I hope it doesnt turn you off to them if it is. They are great animals. Keep at it, youll see. Good luck.

Thanx for the kind words.
No, this wasn't was my first. I have a 4yr old male snow, a female either Okeetee or normal, a 7 month old female candycane and a 10 month old female ball python. I'm really fortunate no one else caught the upper respiratory infection my creamsicle had. She had it when I got her, but because I didn't have her checked by a vet the day I bought her, I can't prove it and the pet store basically said too bad when I told them what happened. Needless to say, I'll never buy another animal from them again!!!

Yeah, I stay away from pet stores now too. They dont seem to care for the animals and most of the employees know nothing about them anyway. I like the reptile shows myself. Better selection, better prices, and just more fun to do it that way anyway.
