How do you who keep your crocodilians in out door ponds keep away the algae. I have an exta large huge ornamental pond and I am getting a baby spectacled caiman this year and hwen it gets older I would like to put it in there. What about Pond blocks made by Jungle? I used it last yearfor my turtles and had no problems. I can give the active ingredients if needed.

i do not own eny crocs but i do alot about ponds. u can get rid of all your alagae and clear your water with a uvb light. in your filter were the water passes put a uvb light in about a week all the alagae will be gone. u can have an expert come in and do it and it might run any weres from 100-1000 dollars it depends on your set up. what kind of filter do u use? if u have picks it would be alot better to work with.

I use barley straw in my turtle pond. It should work for any pond. And it is not toxic and not very expensive. I don't even use my UV sterilizer any more. I put it right below my waterfall in a netted bag and I get it from these people:
