This one we are still trying to figure out !! The mother is W.C. Axanthic from 98' and she was bred to a VPI Het Axanthic male in 2000 in which she produced 7 offspring with the assumption that they were all hets for her trait and 50% poss het VPI Axanthics. Well this season we bred her back only to her 560 gram son ( incest pic below ). The outcome was WEIRD !!! There are Axanthic looking babies with yellow backs and 2 normals. So I guess until we see what comes after the first shed, we will say that something is going on but we will have to wait and see....

I can't wait to see what they turn into. I was on the edge of my seat hoping to see silver babies~ now I'm just not sure what to think! Both of mine are eating like pigs right now getting ready for next Winter~ and I can hardly wait!
