One of the Children's Python (pure Antaresia childreni)
clutches began hatching this evening. Three hatchlings have
emerged and the others are peeking out of their eggs. The other
Children's clutch should be about a week or so behind this one
and it still looks healthy. I should have around two dozen of
these little buggers before the end of this month. Hopefully,
I'll have a roughly even gender ratio between the two clutches.

Nine of the eleven eggs in the clutch laid by my CB98
hypomelanistic Northwestern Carpet Python (Morelia spilota
variegata) still look good, but two of them definitely appear
to be going bad. This clutch was deposited on May 10th, so
they should now be about midway through their incubation period.
The 1998 clutch that produced the hypomelanistic female had
three eggs go bad a little over halfway through. So, as long as
the nine apparently healthy eggs continue to look good, then I'm
not too concerned. The CB00 hypoxanthic female Northwestern
still looks gravid. If she is gravid, she should deposit soon.

The hatchlings from my Brisbane Coastal Carpet (Morelia
spilota mcdowelli) clutch that hatched on May 31st are looking
good. One of them in particular is exceptionally sharp. Odds
are I'll keep that one and grow it out for future breeding. At
this point, I still can't say whether or not I'll be willing to
part with any CB04 Northwestern Carpets that I may get. That
will largely depend on how many hatch, how they look, and how I
feel about whether these may prove to be genetically heritable.
Whether or not I decide to offer any babies for sale, I do plan
to bring some of them to display at my NRBE booth in Daytona.
Even if I decide not to bring any of the adults to display, I
will try to at least have a few photos by then. Stay tuned.
