Feeding Newborn Leos

herpersteve Jun 10, 2004 10:02 PM

This is the first time I've raised Leopard gecko babies. What is the recommended feeding schedule for them? I've been giving them 2-3 2 week old (1/4 inch) crickets each day, dusted with Miner-all. They seemed to like silkies too, but didn't eat any mealworms.

In a short answer... whatever they'll eat within a couple of hours. Leave a bunch of crickes in there for a while and come back and count how many they ate. This should give you some idea of how much they're eating. Be sure to watch and see if the leo wants more though. I would always rather overfeed a little than underfeed. Just my personal preference I guess.
