I live in Ca and was wondering how old do you have to be to get a venomous licence and how

1. Call your game department and ask on permit procedurs. You are allowed to possess 2 per species of native reptiles. However, you need a permit for exotic reptiles

2. Do research on the species that you would like to keep. Housing requirements, antivenin locations, what to do if your bit, feeding requirements, ect.

3. Purchase yourself some good snake tongs/ hooks. Escape proof cages, things to that extent. I also keep all my hots in an escape proof room. That way if one gets out they are contained in that room, and there is no danger to the rest of the house or the public. (They added a new law to NY permits, keepers are criminally responisble if their snake bites somebody. Its actually a misdemenor.)
