I got a redtail male 6ft boa yesterday and his owner had him for 13 years. I was just wondering how many years most of them reach?

I think there's a record of a boa living 40 years. Make sure you keep him nice and non-fat if you want him to live long!

I've heard 20-30 years as being the typical lifespan,
although probably closer to 20... I don't remember seeing
many old boas posted here in the forums. My oldest is
14 this year.

Hello. I have a 27-year old male Columbian boa, healthy as can be and still a voracious eater. I know of at least several boas that lived to about 40 years.
