Bosc Monitor

tegu2002 Jun 11, 2004 08:01 AM

Hi, I just purchased a Bosc Monitor. Well atually he is my brother's. The Bosc (no name yet) is a bit nippy and bites us everytime we hold him. It doesn't hurt yet but it probably will later on when he gets bigger. I was just wondering if Bosc Monitors need any special requirements for their cage. At the moment we have some plants, a water bowl, a vine for climbing and a half log for hiding. But also the bosc monitor was very friendly at the pet shop so I was wondering if he was being a bit viscious because he was a bit stressed about his cage. Can anyone help???

somtimes the little guys are a bit scared of people all they see is a big animal coming toward them ,but all is good they calm down with time all mine have just let them get used to you rather than you to it spend some time in the room around the cage and eventually it will start to come about ,somtimes it takes a good while though, they seem to calm down with age...good luck with your bosc....
