I'd say try today, if that doesn't work, try again on Sunday or Monday. Remember to try and offer it food when the snake is active(i.e. moving around).

Well,I would definately try today or tomorrow. King Snakes are very aggressive eatters which is one reason why they remain so popular in the herp community.Once these guys start feeding they will want food all the time.I suggest offering one pinkie and if he accepts add another.Young snakes should be fed every 3-5 days to promote good health and growth.Once the snake is a year old I recommend feeding once every 7-10 days.If the snake does not accept food today or tomorrow wait another day or two before trying again.

When I got my Cali King I fed him the same day and he eagerly accepted 4 pinkie mice. The following week I offered him 3 fuzzies and he ate all three and was still in a frenzy looking around his enclosure for more.I have had him for a month or so and I noticed he has grown quite a bit.King snakes grow very fast compared to a lot of other snakes.

Whats funny is the guy in the pet store had 4 king's when I bought mine from him(He breeds them in the store). He fed them one fuzzie a week. Since feeding mine 2-3 fuzzies a week he is a lot larger then his brothers and sister of the same hatch. He has some other kings/milk snakes waiting to hatch and I am extremely tempted to get a milk snake but my wife will feed me to them..lol
