Gotta Love Free...

ForestTime Jun 11, 2004 10:16 AM

When we adopted Forest, his previous owners brought us this big wicker dome that they said Forest liked to climb on. Not knowing a bunch, we kept it for him figuring "better than the couch" even though it was ugly. (LOL)

I sat it up leaning next to his bed & he indeed loves the thing so it's become part of his "space".

We had to take a road trip the other day & along the way, passed another one exactly like it, laying on the side of the road. I mentioned it to Mike & we agreed to grab it on the way home if it was still there. It was still there 2 hours later so I threw it in the back of the van.

I got it home, cleaned it up & layed it up against Forest's chase lounge out back on the patio. When I first put him down on his chair the next morning, he ran up to the dome thing like he was going to attack it. (He's been known to grab & fling my lizard gloves if I leave them laying on "his" chair. Big no-no.)

It took a sec for him to figure it out & now....I can't get him off the thing! Too cool! Gotta love free!!!

You guys think he'll give me back my lawn chair now???

Definately gotta love free. A friend of mine used to tell me " If it's free , it's for me". Just look at Forrest... he looks so happy. You just might get your chair back.

I have one of these things too... It's a chair (surprisingly comfortable too). Imagine the dome flipped over with a round cushion in it, and then that sitting on top of a wicker base that allows you angle the seat part however you want. Dexter enjoys climbing on that too, along the rim and burying himself in the cushion at the bottom as well. I had never thought about flipping it over for him to climb on...

As if he KNEW what I was thinking, Forest decided he'd camp out on the CHAIR today instead of the dome next to the chair.

I guess he was telling me that BOTH are now his....

Males..........geesh!
