Jun 11, 2004 11:19 AM

WPLG (Ft Lauderdale, Florida) 11 June 04 Rattlesnake In Backyard Bites Miami-Dade Man
Miami-Dade County, Florida: A Miami-Dade County man is fighting for his life after being bitten by a rattlesnake Thursday.
Duniesky Delgado was with his wife and 6-year-old daughter in the backyard of their home on Southwest 197th Avenue when he saw the eastern diamondback rattlesnake.
He moved to step in between the snake and his daughter and was bitten on the arm. Almost immediately, he had trouble breathing.
Miami-Dade County fire rescue administered antivenin at Baptist Hospital. Delgado is in serious condition this morning.

Exactly how did he manage to get bitten on the arm unless he was messing with the snake?

Cheers

Unless the snake was on something and was high up, there is no way that it could have bitten his arm without messing with it.

I love the part when (on TV) they said that it was attacking his dog...(sure it was...)

They are making a big show of it down here in the news, playing it up like his whole family was in danger.

The only news worthy thing about this was that the rattler was "abnormal. It was an individual that apparently never grew rattles.

The other part (about it's so calle giant size) was pure exageration.
