Well i posted about a month ago about a 10 foot male albino that I recieved. He was given to me due to feeding problems. Well he finally ate. The day I got my shipment from rodentpro he ate a 1.5 pound rabbit then a 1 pound rat. It was real exciting to know that he will infact eat, just not too often. I guess at the rate hes going he will eat about every 4 weeks. Now that I think about it thats not too bad of a schd. as long as its a big rabbit he eats, right? Well just thought I'd share the good news, peace ~Matt

Congrats! Glad he ate for you finally. As for a feeding every four weeks, that's what my big girl is on - one 6-10 pound rabbit once every four to five weeks. She's in great shape and quite healthy - also has good muscle tone. As I mentioned in Antegy's post, she has gained a bit more weight than I intended and I'm purchasing rabbits closer to the 6lb range for her meals to keep her from becoming obese.

As a side note, my juvenile female albino (hatched August 2002) is a very picky eater. She was feeding on mice when I got her in October 2002 and it took until this year to get her switched to small rats. As a general rule she will only eat one prey item every 3-4 weeks. Though I offer prey every two weeks, she typically refuses every other meal. She was right about two feet long when I got her and, at almost two years old, she's still only around four and a half to five feet long. Granted she's doubled in size, but grown nothing near the rate I was expecting. I'm just waiting for that feeding & growth spurt to kick in, but so far she's content to take it slow. And before anyone asks...yes, she checked out healthy by the vet.

I would try to feed him about every two weeks, but if he will not then a month inbetween feeding will sustain him.Todd
