What size tubs will house Pituophis properly for a rack system?

Bovox Jun 11, 2004 03:14 PM

I'm planning on making a rack in the near future, and will be housing a few Black pine adults, and (hopefully) some neonates next spring. What's a good size tub to house adults in? I'm sure the standard shoe/sweater box will work for babies/yearlings. Are 32 qt tubs big enough?

I keep my adult black pines in tubs 48 x 28 x 9 Mine wouldn't fit in a 32 quart tub. I'd post a pick but the 2 guys holding the pine are wearing black shirts, lol. I can post it if you'd like though. Ron

I keep mine in the 32 qt. sterilite boxes. None of mine are longer than 42-46 inches and most are around 36 inches. If I had some of the monsters posted on this site, I would provide a larger/longer box.
PS.. SD gophers, CB pair that appear to be somewhat smaller than typical. I would say they are dwarfs. The largest is a LTC female.
