Well... my tang albino just laid her 8th clutch of blizzard x albino eggs. And this is just her first year breeding... and she doesn't seem to be stopping....Is it possible that she may just keep laying eggs? Has anyone had that happen before? I'm clueless here. The other thing is... when she was laying the eggs 2 weeks apart..most of them were going bad... as a matter of fact out of 6.. only 1 matured and hatched. Now, at intervals of almost a whole month.. all the eggs are incubating great... and surviving. Its wierd...

jodi, AKA ground gecko freak, has records of leos laying 10 clutches. its rear, but not unherd of and all it means is the leo is really really healthy or the eggs arent fertile. a leo will keep producing clutches till all of one spacific type of vitamin, or miniral exces storage is gone (im sure that its calcium). the 8th clutch will probably be ur last, 8 is highst average a year. but who knows you might get up to 10 or (i highly doubt it) 11. good luck on the eggs you have incubating.

adult females especially 2nd and 3rd year breeders can lay up to 12 and 13 clucthes a year........ however some older females and sometimes animals too young will end up "laying" themselves to death... they stop eating and do not respnode to anything. i had a female lay 11 clutches last year all intertiles and ended up waisting away no nothing (even though i tried EVERYTHING.... lack of nutrient or calcium has no effect sometimes they just continue to lay for some reason and keep on and eventually it tajes everything out of them and there is nothing you can do. 8 cluitches is alot for a first year breeder just make sure to keep a good eye on her to make sure she isnt losing too much weight and she is continuing to eat.. regarless of how many clutches she lays as long as she is holding weight and still eating and drinking and laying the eggs (without probs) she should be fine... large egg layers are usually a sign of good health

Oh she holds weight.. she's my biggest eater. For 3 days before she lays she won't eat anything. 2 hrs after she lays.. she goes through about 25 large mealworms.. I'm not sure how she fits them all in. And for the next week she'll go through at least 15 a night. After that she drops back to the normal ten. The amazing thing is... when I first got her she was already gravid but so thin and wouldn't eat until she passed the set of eggs she had. After that.. in 3 weeks.. she came up to breeding weight before she had her next set of eggs..It amazed me. So far she seems just fine...just has become a laying machine. I thought my season was going to be a complete bust save for one hatchling until she started throwing off more eggs.
