Thought I'd share

I had my 6 1/2 footer out in the yard today for a little romp around in the grass. I've noticed before that he gets real fiesty when outside and on the ground but nothing like today. He was heading for a car and got a foot or so of himself underneith and I could see myself out there for hours getting him out if he got up into the engine bay so I decided it was time to go back inside for the day. Well, he started wringling about and made it know he did not want to be taked away from the green grass.

Have any of you noticed this with your burms, or is mine just the only one who thinks hes back in the jungle when outside?

My burm is always completely calm when he's out. It doesn't matter if I have him out in the house, or outside in the yard, he's never aggressive in the least. Of course, that may be because he's a big fat lazy snake and couldn't be bothered to make any effort (my burm needs to go on a diet...).

Now that I think of it - back when my burm was around 7 feet or so he went through a period where he was incredibly active, almost hyper. Maybe yours will grow out of it too, soon enough.

Almost all of my snakes get more flighty when outside, and they sure do nto want to go back into their cages. I think it is natural fo rthem so I wouldn't be too concerned. Todd
