anyone here have a black agama? tell me all about it

LOL Hi Amy, I purchased a pair, of L. stellio stellio, or black agamas, turned out to be 2 females.

I like them alot, they are very cute, but very UNHANDLEABLE right now. I have had them for awhile and I am working with them, as they are super flighty, pycho !

I have one allowing my hand on her now. It used to be they hear you coming and run into or under something.

They like bugs, supers, crickets waxies, and I give them salads everyday also, which they eat.

They seem to climb well, as they are known in their habitat to be found on buildings, walls, in trees as well.

I have just ordered a reptaruim for them so they can have plenty of room on the bottom and climb around also!

I'm hoping I can get them to calm down more in time and maybe get a male.

mahaha!! why does this NOT surprise me?? we have a semi-new pet store in town and the girl has a black agama who in my opinion looks like crap. he's adorable but when i go in there he looks at me like "amy pleeeaaasseee...get me the **** out of here." i try to tell my husband this but of course he doesn't believe that i can communicate with reptiles (especially when they are telling me to take them home) haha.
i know i can't save them all but geez sometimes i think i'm going to die trying.

Its starts out with just one then 3 then 6 then a room full, so be careful, hehehhehe !

These agamas are very cute! But like I say, they are pretty wild, and have to be worked with everyday!
