I wouldn't spend the money on it. I talked to a guy at the shop who said for $25 you get 100' of 2 ft tall fencing that you put around construction zones from home depot or some like place. It's a snake barrier, so the snake hits it and follows along it. At the ends of the fence dig a hole and put a trashcan upside down over it with a big hole for the snake to go into it.
He worked at a construction zone and along the fence he caught a 6' gopher snake and three of the freindliest rosy boas.
You can make one of those fairly easy with the small chicken wire and some PVC pipe. You could also get something along those lines in a bait/tackle store called minnow traps. Get the black coated one,cut some of the inside out to make the hole bigger and put a hopper inside. I am sure it would work. I have one sitting around,maybe i'll try it this weekend in the back of my house.
