getting a Blue tongue and i need some advise please help

ok my first herp was going to be a bearded dragon but i was soon won over by the blue tongues after seeing this forum. the thing is i bought all the stuff for a bearded so can i use all the same stuff for a skink? i bought a zoo-med powersun, repcal calcium with D3, repcal multivitamin, and two digital temp gauges, and a 40 gallon breeder tank. and i know their diet differ if you could give me what you feed your skink on a weekly basis it would be great. and also about humidity. thanks oh and anyone that has aim im Solarplexas

They love to eat live foods such as crickets, snails, slugs, roaches, mealworms and mice. You can also feed them low fat quality cat or dog food, unseasoned beef or chicken, egg, vegetables (carrot, zucchini, potato, peas etc.) and fruit (strawberries, kiwifruit, mandarine, grapes, banana etc.).

You can use the supplements and the digital temp gauges with your BTS, but I'm not sure what a powersun is or how big a 40 gallon tank is.

You shouldn't have to worry about the humidity, but just make sure you have a big enough water dish for them to soak in if they want to.

I had a pair of blue tongues and I used a power sun UV left over from my veiled chameleon. I wouldn't worry about using one, but since you already bought it, use it. My little skinks would eat anything and they grow fast! A 40 breeder should be OK for one.
