Possibility exists for us to hit Jersey for a spell again later this month. Actually one of my stomping grounds years ago since I am from around not to far from there originally, well, across the river.
Pines and Kings were the thing back then. Alot of them to boot in the 70's but hard herping to spot anything in the 90's.
Would any of you here (that is if there are any here) that still reside or hike in New Jersey (I know pretty much all herps are protected there) know if it better to just focus on fishing and the shore or give some of the old hotspots a pass?
Nothing better to see herps in their natural habitat and leave the area knowing they are still there.
Object here is to spot kings and pines but I hear the kings are probably a harder spot these days than pines.
