Rack design...

toddg Jun 12, 2004 08:50 AM

Hi all,

I plan to build my first rack by the end of Summer. It will be specifically for my BPs and I am leaning towards housing 8 adults. I would like to incorporate housing for hatchlings as well. Now, should I go with a tower housing each box vertically, or make it wider with fewer levels? I would like to ask everyone to post a pic or two of your rack/s to give me design ideas. Also, please share design stratedgies for heating and anyhting else worth mentioning. This will be most helpful. As a man I can not make decisions for myself, LOL!!!

TIA,
Toddg

I noticed no one replied to your post at the ball python forum. Try reposting at this forum instead: http://forums.kingsnake.com/forum.php?catid=4
it's the cage and habitat design forum. These guys are much more helpful and can answer all of your questions from heating, humidity, size, practicality, materials, everything. Usually they will post pics and links to other helpful sites. I usually don't post much because I can usually find my questions asked by someone else. But when I have posted of all the forums on KS I've used the Cage & Habitat Design guys have been the friendliest and most helpful. You can tell them that too.

Good luck and I hope you find exactly what you are looking for,

Thanks for the reply.

I agree with you that most every question can be answered by running a search. I truely wanted to view others racks to get ideas. I will try a post in that forum. Also, with an age old question like caging/housing most tend to overlook when followed by "NEW MORPH" - LOL!!!

Thanks again,
