It's one thing when a ball doesn't want to eat, but share a drink? that's just wrong. hah.

A guy I was talking snakes with the other day said he had a similar "problem" when he tried to switch his burm to rabbits. He said the snake wouldn't eat it, it stayed in the cage for a week and hung out with the snake until he just decided to keep the rabbit as an outdoor pet (his daughter was happy). He said he is still feeding the burm colossal rats. I thought that was strange for a burm! Be careful with the rat too, my brother left a rat in with a ball & the rat chewed the hell out of it, I own the snake now & it is doing great. The scars are hardly noticable after 8 years.

My ball is a picky eater (surprise surprise) and he will only eat live rats. I put the rat into his cage and I always keep my eye on them to make sure Keo (snake) doesn't get hurt by his prey. When I saw them drink I had to have a picture. The rat was only in there for about 20-25 min before I took him back out and put him in his holding cage to try feeding another day. The picture was taken about a week and a half ago, I put the rat back in Keo's cage last night and he only lasted about 2 min. This post is just for the record that I would never leave a rat in my snakes cage overnight or unsupervised at all.
