When can you remove babies from incubator? Also feeding question..

Do you have to wait a while before removing newly hatched babies? Is it okay to feed them rep cal juvenile pellets and romaine? I don't feed my adults any crickets.

Opinions on this are going to vary, but I think that baby dragons should get crickets. In fact it should be the single largest staple of their diet. In my experience it is difficult to get dragons to eat pellets at a young age. They're instincts are to go after small prey (crickets and other insects). They typically are not good about eating veggies either.

usually 24 hrs is fine, wiat till the umbilical cord and egg sack detach. They probably wont eat for a few days.

It can be difficult getting babies to eat pellets and greens but it's worth a try. Babies can go downhill VERY FAST. so be careful if they dont eat that you dont let them go too long. You dont have to feed crix, there are other options lie roaches and silkies.

The nice thing about being senile is you can hide your own Easter eggs.

I agree with the other two posts. I don't think your adults need crickets although they do need a source of protien. People have raised babies successfully with out crickets but it is easier to get them started with crickets. I have 2-3 week old babies that are fed pellets, salad and crickets. I make them wait a few hours before they get crickets. They are growing fine. And no nips yet. My only other suggestion is not to rely on Romaine too much. While it is better than iceburg the fact remains it is still lettuce. You will be much better off with the other green selections.

when babies are hungry and there are no crix, tails and toes are the next best thing to eat, so be careful.
