Hey Eve...here are some ladies...

Also, a good pic showing the scars that little Winnie has healed from.

First pic is Spice...a nice female aquaflame that I collected last year. she has some very neat radiating orange on her face. she really has put on good size this year...I thought she had a problem growing last year.

This next picture, is an incredible little yellow head female that I got from Will Wells. This is why he is highly recommended when people are looking for hatchlings :P Her name is Sony.

Next..this is Bernie. she has had issues with being outside. I put her in the pen the first week of May, and she disappeared. I finally dug her up last week. She has not been out for a month. still looking fine though.

This little male, is the mate to Sony. His name is Winnie (got that, Eve?) He also came from Will Wells. I believe his growth has been stunted from his lack of outdoor living. I had to bring him in, because he suffered some injuries in the pen. He has been living in less than optimal conditions, on paper towels, and a heat pad for the last 3-4 weeks. Healed up nicely.

I have no before pics, but his side was a mess...you could actually see his ribs through a gash in his side. This is how it looks now...much better.

I hope you enjoyed the pics...I got a good sunburn watching them today ;P

Very nice, colorful females Johne. Vegas is really coloring up nicely and doing very well. His legs are so blue they are almost violet some days! Very handsome. Good job Johne!

Hey Johne!

Did that wound on Winnie's side just granulate in, or did he have sutures?

Just curious... learning all I can, since I cannot find a herp vet near me...

This was actually the second time I noticed this type of injury on him. I'm still not sure who got a hold of him. The first time ocurred while indoors. He had a nice hole right in his side, that was caked with sand. I thought it was just some crap from another lizard. I took him out and was cleaning him, when I noticed it was a large oozing hole. I guessed it was from a very hungry superworms that had burrowed into the sand.

I put him in a sterlite box with papertowels, and started putting bag balm on it. I kept half the box on a heat pad. I gave him water every couple nights, and made sure he was still eating. It healed in about 3 or 4 weeks both times.

The second time I noticed his wounds, he was outside...this time, the wounds looked more like bites. I never seen in agression between any lizards. Because he is a male, although a tiny immature one, I have to assume the attack came from my male aquaflame.
