Hello there..

i recently got some flexwatt heat tape for my racks, and went to purchase aluminum tape at Lowes

I had 2 options, and wasnt sure what to get..

I bought the more expensive roll of something called "pressure sensitive aluminum tape for use with ridig fiberglass air ducts"

There was another type, only about half as expensive, and i am not sure if i got the right kind

This kind of tape smells AWFUL!! like some chemicals or somthing, i cant even explain how it smells, but it really reeks

did i buy the right stuff, or should i get the other kind, etc?

I don't recall mine smelling... sorry, no advice. Is it a toxic type smell?

its not exactly "toxic", but its very strong, and makes me sick to my stomach/gives me a headache

i've honestly never smelled anything like this before.. its weird

.....................three different mfgs. and have never had any ordor.it may get worse if it's heated.
