Vertically, how far away should bulbs be from the surface of an enclosure housing an adult b/w tegu? I'm trying to figure out how tall I should make my future enclosure. I want the bulbs to have a significant effect, but I don't want them close enough to where he can touch them and get burned.
Also, would it be wise to design an elevated level for the sole purpose of basking? I was thinking it might be easier to keep humidity up when those high basking temps aren't baking the ground substrate. Thanks for any wise advice.
