Pictures for a Rainy Weekend

DC Jun 13, 2004 02:50 PM

...I haven't moved any of the guys outside yet, since it never STOPS raining here. Ghost is still odd, but looking more normal as he matures. His color is still improving, and he has more blue scales on his head than Hamlet, who has more gray scales. He has been doing some good pushups and bobbing, lots of posturing. Who knows LOL.

....no gravid colors either. I'm watching her for another stealth clutch soon. Everyone is shedding at the moment.

When are we going to see more rocks? I'm itching to try something STILL. I think I know what I'm going to make too. I'm going to make stink holding rocks. I'll make them with removable tops, and disguised vent holes for luring in the flies. This will be for outside use only, unless you have a mess of flies in the house you want to lure in. Slap in a fish, or a raw steak, and put the top back on...Lure them flies right to the rocks. I just wonder how much this will stink up the whole pen.

I may try just leaving a small bowl of nightcrawlers out there in the sun...see how that goes first. No sense in ruining a perfectly good rock LOL

...to put in your fake rock: Leave about 20 mealworms in the bottom of a plastic cricket duster in a 90 degree herp room for a few weeks.... ROFL.

Bumped into somethig sorta cool a bit ago: this site is now excerpting McGuire for Crot ID info for several species.

...just rain rain rain though. I'd say Ghost is doing "breeding colors" or something, he's never been this blue. He's doing some posturing and arching lately, he sometimes looks vaguely dickersonae in profile. Always have my doubts about that boy. I thought I saw a yellow scale on his snout, but it turned out to be bug juice.
