Help with temperature range

thesensei Jun 14, 2004 11:07 AM

I have a JV Cal King. She is in a 30 gallon aquarium. I do not have central a/c, and the room I keep her in stays around 85 degrees. My problem is providing a cool side for her. I don't need heat lamps or anything to keep it warm, but there is no temperature gradient in the aquarium. Any ideas? or is this alright? It does drop to around 72 at night.

Thanks,
JB

i keep all of my snakes in one centrally heated room. it stays 78 to 82 degrees now - but i used to keep it warmer.

they are fine and have thrived. been doing it this way for almost two years now.

P.S. I have about 80 snakes - so i would say that since all are eating and thriving: it's an "OK" system.
