I went to look in on my yearling retic today, and only after I went to pick him up and he hissed/struck at me (odd behavior for him) did I realize his tail was all out of whack - from a little in front of the vent to the very tip it's almost jagged looking, bent up, and when I touch it he hisses but can't seem to move his tail at all. I don't know what could have happened. I'll take him to the vet asap but in the meantime can anyone tell me what might be wrong? Please, I'm worried about my baby. Thanks in advance.
