How long between copulation and egg laying for redfoot tortoises?

Its kind of hard to say.. It is around 5 weeks but the female can store the sperm and then lay eggs when ever through out the year.

Thank you for the reply. I knew about the sperm retention part, but I just introduced a female to a male for the first time. I've already seen copulation, so I was looking for the minimum time till laying, so I can know when to really start keeping an eye on her. For some reason, you can't find that information on websites, they all just talk about sperm retention... Thanks again.
