SCREAMER JUNGLE SOUTH BRAZILIAN....more...

BCAGLEREPS Jun 14, 2004 07:22 PM

THIS IS ONE OF OUR FAVORITES FROM THIS GROUP. SHE IS DEFINITELY NOT A STRIPE. SHE IS JUNGLE ALL THE WAY. I PURCHASED THE MAJORITY OF THESE BOAS FROM THE BREEDER BECAUSE I NEW THEY WERE VERY SPECIAL ANIMALS. I HAD NO IDEA THIS JUNGLE CRAZE WAS ABOUT TO HIT, BUT IT HAS AND I FEEL VERY LUCKY AND FORTUNATE TO HAVE THIS GROUP OF AMARALI. I WOULD LIKE TO GIVE SPECIAL THANKS TO KELLY FOR MAKING ALL THIS HAPPEN. I LOOK FORWARD TO THE SUPERS IN A FEW YEARS. LIKE THE SWEDISH COLOMBIAN JUNGLES, THESE BOAS CAN PRODUCE A WIDE VARIETY OF OFFSPRING. INCLUDING SEVERAL DIFFERENT ABERRANCIES, STRIPES, JUNGLES, HIGH PEAKED, WIDE SADDLED, THIN SADDLED AND EVEN BABIES WITH DOTS FOR SADDLES AND SOME WITH NO SADDLES AT ALL. THIS IS GOING TO BE ONE OF THE MOST EXCITING TRUE LOCALITY MORPHS IN THE HOBBY. BETWEEN ME, KELLY, BUBBA, AND BARRY WE SHOULD SEE SOME UNREAL BRAZILIAN AMARALI IN THE NEXT FEW YEARS TO COME.

I love Amarali, I hope to work with them someday. Those are really interesting. Are those abberancies simple recessive or co-dom like bci jungle? Or is that known yet?

Thanks, Chris

and the same parents.......... Here is a pic of a striped male or "Jungle" if you will. These animals were bred from female A to male A and female B to male B, and the next year they were switched from what I was told. Both years the litters were striped in some fashion......Though I was assured they were genetic, IT IS still unclear to my understanding of whether these snakes are co-dom or recessive, being that the parents are from Lloyd Lemeke's snakes and all siblings they could very well be recessive and less likely to be "Jungles." To my understanding from the breeder this is they way it went so I just wanted to make that somewhat clear for you guys if that at all helps, and if you're interested in any of these beauties then shoot me an e-mail or give me a call-thanks

That is one beautiful snake above! I'm new to the world of boa genetics so I'll sit this out since I don't quite understand the jungle debate (though I'm learning quick). However, I find it funny how almost EVERY forum on kingsnake.com has a controversial theme that gets everyone reacting so actively. On the BP forum, its questioning the price of morphs. On the cornsnake forum, its asking if two corns can be kept together. I'm sure there are more hot topics on the other forums that I cannot think of but hey, it does make for an interesting read!

Anyway, here is my poorman's jungle.lol. Enjoy!
