Do a search,

All sorts of dragons, agamids all kinds of monitors, alot of different kinds of skinks can be found there, including the shingleback.

TOO many to list, LOL like I say do a search on reptiles, or lizards of Aus.

Enjoy,

Sorry about the broad question. What I meant to ask is, are there any other lizards that people can keep as pets, without a lisence, that are from Australia.

nickpurvis Jun 15, 2004 11:23 PM

here are some you can keep without permits
bearded dragons
australian water dragons
blue tounged skink
burtons snake lizards
frilled dragons
major skinks

these are some.it is illegal to import wild animals from australia though so most animals are captive bred or imported from somwhere near australia.

have a talk with those dang skinks, tell em like it is, leave the Birdies eggs ALONE ! LOL

So you lurk, but do not talk? LOL Well what kind of critters do you have? There are plenty of forums, for critter owners.

Stop by exotics too, talk rats, guiena pigs, bunnies, squirrels,
wildlife, I'm always there also,

You told me many times the skinks bother the eggs. Sounds like a farm, is it yours, or are you the kid of the farmer, hehehhehe

Or do you just have land ????????????

i dont have any critters so i cant go there and chat- i have some fish tho.. but one died the other day.
as for the farm- its my parents. i dont really do much on it- my sister works for them coz we have baby beef on it. actually we got a pet calf a few weeks ago and he lives right next to the chook run so maby he will scare them off.

PHEve Jun 19, 2004 11:53 PM

catch a skink and keep it as a pet. LOL One less to steal the chook eggs.

You can also come here and talk about your new lizard hehehehe

Really you should get a lizard for a pet if you like them.

i have been thinking about that. ive learnt so much about them on this site but i really dont think it would be fair to them. i dont have the space and i cant really afford to care for them properly.
i think they would be much happier in the wild.. hehe- that way i can just go see them sometimes their friendly enough.

PHEve Jun 20, 2004 08:23 AM

I was kidding anyway as far as the skinks.

Maybe somtime down the line you can purchase a lizard you really like. when you can afford it and have room.

Are you still in school? If so I can understand that.

nar i finished school about four years ago. im 19, but i have this debt that i need to pay off so im a bit straped for cash at the moment. ive always been terrified of lizards and snakes but after being on this site ive kinda gotten used to them. thanks everyone.

PHEve Jun 21, 2004 06:56 AM

INVITED to stay and talk and learn ! On any of the forums
We all understand DEBT ! LOL

As far as being terrified of lizards, some are so docile and nice, make excellent pets.

I was so very surprised years ago, now, how cool they are, and what nice dispositions some have.

I now have many different kinds, like them all.

Mainly I breed collareds, great smaller lizards. Come in all kinds of beautiful colors, and are fun and active and friendly when held each day!

But have some big ones too, and they also are super friendly!
