sharing pic of Charleston locale male

nodaksnakelover Jun 14, 2004 11:39 PM

Took a number of pictures of diff snakes of mine today. And finally I got a picture of my male Charleston locality male that I feel shows his true colors. This boy is in his second year of breeding, and his babies this year are just finishing up hatching. He's also neat in that his belly is checkered in red orange within the black. And many of last years babies were like that, having lots of red in their bellies. The female is more red blotched than a rusty orange. Plus he looks more hypo than she does. His ground color and his blotch color are nearly identical! Almost like the blood reds in that respect.

And here's his Charleston locale mate. Babies start out real dark red on light background color. Sure go through a LOT of change to get to this!
