Help with Fox Snake

herpin1579 May 13, 2003 10:58 PM

I caught a 36in fox snake two weeks ago here in Chicago. I have tried feeding it toads, frogs, and mice. He ate nothing. What should I feed him?

You should probably stick with the mice. If he won't take frozen/thawed, then you might offer him live, but don't leave him alone with live rodents, as they could injure him if he is not feeding. If he does not begin eating in the next week or two, you should seriously consider releasing him right back where you found him. Good luck either way. Duffy
