There seems to be a problem regarding the saying of the word-I thought this may help.
from the American Heritage Dictionary-a similar sounding word:
agave-n. Any of the fleshy-leaved tropical American plants of the genus Agave, which includes the Century plant.
Now I know you know that one does not pronounce this word a-gave, live the word save etc. so you would pronounce pastave the same way.
2) I love Cheryl's name "Chaparral" for the pastel desert-why not save this for the pastel desert ghost? I have pastels het for desert ghost hatched from last year and hope to produce one this next breeding season. I'd love to use that name if I am lucky enough to hatch this snake first-but of course only with Cheryl's permission.
3) Regarding "Big Breeders" going along with names as put out there by John Z. The evidence clearly does not lead to that conclusion as two of the "Big Breeders," SnakeKeeper and Graziani Reptiles did not like the name and said so. As far as I could tell I was in the minority in terms of supporting this name.
