White spots on shell - Please help!

demunchkin Jun 19, 2003 12:49 PM

I know this has been posted many times before on the old site, but I don't have the link to the old site anymore.

My one year old RES has developed two small white spots on his shell. Does anyone know what that is and how to remedy it? Do I need to quarantine him from my other RES?

Thanks in advance for the help.

Devin

I'm not postive, but it might be shell-softening. I am by no means an expert, but if you look up on slider diseases, it seems like having white spots is a sign of this. Look at http://www.sliderhome.nl/index.html
and go to care, and then sicknesses and look up shell-softening. Hope I was of some help!
