New Snake?

Bish Jun 15, 2004 10:24 AM

Hello, I might be getting a garter snake. I was wondering if I forgot anything?
Tank
Heating Pad
Hide(one on each side)
Thermometer
Water Bowl(one on each side)
Bedding(Newspaper/Papertowels are there any that are more eye friendly?
Thanks, Bish

I like aspen for substrate personally. My snakes love to tunnel in it, and Thamnophis/Nerodia will usually make their own hide under their water bowl (or at least they do it frequently).

And the sign says "No long hair freaky people need not apply." So I put my hair under my hat and I went in to ask him why. He said you look like a fine outstanding young man I think you'll do. So I took off my hat I said "Imagine that Huh Me working for you."-Tesla

Do forget a lid for your tank. A wire mesh works the best and is fairly cheap. You should be able to fine them at local pet shop and in about any size. Good luck with new pet!
