glasscages.com acrylic terrarium watertight?

JoshKaptur Jun 19, 2003 12:57 PM

I'm considering ordering a tank from glasscages.com, and will be getting the terrarium shipped. I know it comes "knocked down" and am concerned about it being water-tight (enough for a false bottom) after assembled.

tia,
JOSH

i say no as they say Our terrariums are made for reptiles, snakes, etc. You can NOT fill them with water. Look at our aquariums if you need a water tank. Our acrylic tanks are the same price as the terrariums listed here

well i got a acrylic (aqaurium i guess) tank from glass cages. im not sure what the differance is in the two unless the aquarium is glass. but i order a aquarium and mines acrylic? im not sure.

any ways, i think it can hold a small ammount of water like the extra you would have in a false bottom. but i dont think it would sith thand amny many gallons of weight or presure.

am i right or wrong?

I'm aware they cannot be filled as an aquarium... too much pressure... but thank you for pointing that out just in case.

Was yours "that can hold enough water for a false bottom" shipped fully assembled, or knocked down and you had to assemble it?

actully i purchased an aquarium from glass cages. (im honestly do not know what the differance is in his aquariums and terrariums). but mine came just as you would see it at the petstore. it was a rather large box. it was fully set up.

i would suggest you e-mail him and ask he would know.

I bought a acrylic tank, knocked down and I put it together then just added some silicon up ti the level where my falsebottom would be and it works fine
